Don't know what I would do without Trader Joe's. Go on a weekday before 3pm if ever possible because the line gets ridiculous. Certain items are frequently out of stock and I am not up-to-date on their restock schedule. Very convenient to the M14.
Great Trader Joe's! Pretty big storefront especially for being in NYC. The lines are usually long but they go really quick! Its always busy but what do you expect?!
And the separate Trader Joe's Wine store is only a few feet away. That store is also pretty big and they have a good selection, with the best prices in town!
They have a huge selection of snacks and sweets. Their produce selection is good but it can be bigger. There is usually an absolutely huge line that snakes around the store where there is almost always people blocking the refrigerated foods section.
Their spinach dip is amazing and I'm in love with their broccoli and brussel sprout slaw.
If you're coming here with a friend and you know exactly what you need I would recommend having your friend start standing in line as soon as you get in to the store while you go and grab whatever you need because the line is just so. so. long here.
The store is cramped but the lines move fast. Don't come in if you are in a rush or already in a bad mood because you need patients to shop here. Great prices on food especially organic! Can't beat the prices anywhere else in NY so it's worth the temp discomfort. Best times to shop are when the weather turns nice out because no one is buying groceries then! Also be careful on Friday because they are usually out of a lot of meats. Happy shopping!
