So, yes, these are very pretty desserts and that's pretty much it. Pricey, not delicious (they looked much better than how they tasted), and bad bubble teas (matcha and Thai). We (2 people) also had to wait to be sit even though 6 sits were available. I think I'll come back to try two more dishes, but it's definitely not remarkable. It just looks nice. Moreover, they hired "actors" for their commercial, displayed on a large TV, one of which looked like a porn star… It's all about appearance and less about the actual substance. Kinda disappointed.
They have a very affordable tapas set for groups. The desserts are very fantastical but too sweet for my tastebuds. My favorite is the ORANGE and the YUZU desserts. The ambience doesn't do the prettiness of the desserts justice. Feels a bit fast food but maybe the reason why it's affordable. No line before 9 but started to get crowded after 10 on a Monday night.
Always so yummy! Staff is always super friendly and fast. Love coming here with my girlfriend or even small groups. They have great deals for buying several tapas desserts, as well as some booze options. Love this place.
I think I tried every single dessert in this place and every single one of them is yum yum yummy! The presentation is beautiful and their staff is always nice! My all time favorite is their toast! P.S. If you like me and eat sweets on a daily basis don't forget to get stamps at this place so you can get a free dessert
This dessert place is great. The desserts were so pretty yet I don't think they were tapas sized, so I guess if you like your dessert big you can come here too. All I know is that each dessert had great flavor, great look in a cozy atmosphere. The potted cheese cake is by far one there best creations and most unique. :)
Great produce and central location!
Edit: produce and goods often out of stock at peak times. Employees seem rushed, and help hasn't been as great. Disappointing. Hopefully these are simply growing pains with the Amazon transition.
The checkout line system is 👌never seen anything like that.. super efficient and neat with the color coding and numbering system! Also very nice upstairs seating area with panoramic views of the surrounding area
Super nice staff!!! Their staff has knowledge at their finger tips and there is always someone to help you out. Honestly makes grocery shopping better. I also enjoy their upstairs eating area - spacious and relaxed.
This is a very large, brand new Whole Foods. They have all the usual suspects to buy in their well-organized aisles. They also have a variety of take-out food options, including Chego, and there is a nice selection of wines and beer.
The best thing about this location is their signature bar and restaurant. It's a great little respite enclosed within the store with happy hour drink specials and daily food specials. It's worthy of a trip in and of itself.
Pianos is pretty excellent. It's a microcosm of the Lower East Side bar scene more broadly: very trendy, but unpretentious. Prepare to wait in line if you're visiting after 9 on a Thursday or a Friday, but if you pop in off hours then you'll enjoy a cheap drinks and exceptional atmosphere.
Went there solo on a Thursday night while traveling through NY. This place has a really great vibe, lounge bar / with a good sized busy dance floor, a mixture of after work drinkers and your weeknight club-goers. Youngish crowd 21-35... A good mixture of nationalities, DJ playing some new and classic hip-hop / R&B.
I really really like this place. I often go on weekdays cause there is no line, but still enough people inside. Upstairs it's always fun and everyone has genuinely good time. I'm surprised that everytime I go there (even Wednesdays) the people are always in a party mode and even if you are not feeling the same, it will eventually make you wanna dance too in the end...
Got in no problem, place was not crowded. Upstairs was virtually empty on a Sunday night, so we sat by the bar. The bartender was nice to take some photos of us, however, it was 1:25am and there were no snack foods to munch on. We were told there were chips and dip, but they were out. Would've been nice to have something to eat while drinking.
Great restaurant and experience.
Tucked inside Eataly, visiting this restaurant gives you a good excuse to walk around the market.
All dishes are very tasty, everything we tried is well worth ordering again.
The appetizers are all good, plus a good selection of wine.
The cuts of meat and pastas are delicious, can’t go wrong with this place.
Aperol Affumicato looks fancy for making it but it tastes bitter & nothing is special ; however, half roast duck & ribeye (20oz) are awesome. The steak is so tender, juicy & flavored. It’s just melting in your mouth. The duck is fresh, juicy, tender & flavorful too. Make sure you try these 2 dishes. It’s not too expensive compared with other restaurants in Manhattan
Wanted to sit down and eat with some friends here. We were in the mood to share a bunch of appetizers and we’re discussing this in front of the hostess stand. The hostess overheard us incidentally and told us rudely that she would not seat us unless we ordered an entree. We asked her how that could be the case that we couldn’t get items on the menu that suited us. We were in the mood for appetizers and she told us to walk away. Unsure if this is a real rule- seemed very coincidental that she overheard us and didn’t want us to order entrees. Do the hostesses ask what meal every customer is getting before they sit down? We “walked away” as we were told, but then came back to ask again. The hostess refused to seat us. Would love to know whether this rule exists, how it is administered, and why. Seems like if it does, there should be a sign somewhere. Also the hostess is horribly rude regardless of whether the rule exists- would have gone a lot smoother if she informed us nicely.
Love love love grey dog. The gluten free Zucchini bread is incredible, I recommend it even to people that like gluten. A mixture of locals and tourists alike, it's cameo in Broad City is what lured me.
Despite it being very popular, the service is amazing. Its busy but there's enough seats that its not too hard to get a table for some prime people watching. We had a small hiccup but it was quickly fixed which only makes me want to go back.
I like it so much I'd be one of those people that would buy the logo shirt if they sold them.
Great place for a quick meal! You order first then the host helps you find a table, the system is very organized! They have both healthy and craveable options, I usually love coming here for brunch, also a great spot for happy hour they have beer and wine. They also have take-out!
Had brunch with some friends here and really enjoyed the experience! Staff were friendly, food was delicious (that berry butter thing was soooooo good), and I really enjoyed the French toast! The interior was so cute, and I really enjoyed the ambience of this place. Prices are pretty good given the location. I would recommend this place to a friend.
Nice restaurant. Good food and nice staff. Excellent place to meet friends. Limited seating outside. Only complaint is that patrons occasionally smoke in outdoor seating or very close to windows and doors, which can permeate throughout the space.
The Grey Dog always seems to pop up when searching for brunch spots, so I decided to try it. You order and pay in the front and then take a seat wherever you like. You have to get your own utensils, sauces, and water on a shelves, which is better than having slow service. They have free refills on coffee, you have to bring it up though. The tables and seating were quite tight.
Seared Tuna & Avocado Taco ($14.95)- 3/5 The tuna itself was bland and needed a lot of condiments, good thing it came with salsa and sour cream. I still had to add hot sauce to give it more flavor. Some piece of the tuna was a bit "stringy" and that turned me off. It also comes with fries that taste like a better McDonald's, but are really delicious.
Blueberry Muffin- The blueberry muffin was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were also a decent size and quite delicious for a light snack/breakfast.
I come to NYC twice a year. Each time, I eat here!! Its a cute little luncheonette. The owner is always there working. He is so friendly and always gives great customer service. I recomend the hungry man breakfast with French toast. The food is so delicious!
Two words: home fries! Johny is the man. A true breakfast pro. He took great care of us even though it was our first visit. We will surely return. My wife ordered sausage but bacon came. Felt like kismet.
We needed a great American breakfast after being in Europe for a bit and chose this place. Everything tasted clean and cooked perfectly. Coffee kept flowing, pancakes were amazing and the guys behind the counter were friendly. The best welcome home meal we could have hoped for.
Great diner food. Fantastic for a late breakfast after you've been out partying the night before. Also good for a quick lunch if you are in the area. Johny and the staff are super friendly and learned who I was and what I had ordered after my first visit. The patrons are also friendly and I met some wonderful locals while I was in there eating. I would highly recommend this place.
Had dinner here for a birthday. They were so accommodating and food was delicious! Authentic Indian food! Desserts were pretty amazing too. Service was on point. Definitely a place to recommend and revisit.
We were visiting from Canada over the weekend and decided to eat at Tamarind on our last night. I must say the food was unique and delicious in its own way, BUT the service was parallel to none, we had such an amazing experience because of the great staff and manager. It was absolutely unforgettable, I highly recommend this place if you're in Tribeca!
Thank You Very Much for the great experience!
Service is good but food is targeted for Patrons who probably never had true Indian food. Ambiance is good for an Indian restaurant, flavors are diluted for curries, fancy names given to dishes but lacks depth of flavor. I had dinner on 4/18, sauce for Goat Punjabi was watery and didn't had much flavor. To be sure, I came back for lunch on 4/19 but food was lacking anything special. I did talk to an Indian gentleman covering the floor both days about quality of food, but as long as they have regular customers who cares.
I eat at PH 2 to 3 times a week. The food is consistently good and the staff very friendly! Loretta (the bartender) is the best!
Great place for lunch, drinks and/or to watch sports on any of their 1000 TVs
If you get in right before lunch, it's actually pretty empty. Have been twice, and it was good food and service. Some Appetizers are actually big enough to be a meal... And some prices the same. I think my only complaint was noise. Even basically empty, it was still pretty loud with music. I'll likely go again though, since it's convenient.
I would give this place a 0 if it was an option. The food was probably one of the worst I’ve had in yrs. It was not easy for me to give such a poor review - especially since, I rarely give them, but this place was that bad.
My brother and I ordered burgers (their “famous” one), truffle mac and cheese, fries, and hood fried wings. The burgers taste like cardboard and what I imagine feet to taste like. The fries were soggy, and tasted like something I’ve never eaten before. The hood fried wings were tasteless and also soggy. They could have easily been taken from the freezer and microwaved, but then - I’ve had previously frozen wings that were amazing in comparison.
I will NEVER order from this place again and hope I don’t get sick from the few bites I had.
@ Jackie levy...i dont know her. i reaf they owners reply to her concern. its obvious the owner has no customer service knowledge as yet. in due time. as to my experience there a few days ago....well, it is basically extremely similar to many of the posts ive read. that being said, the owner should be concerned. very concerned
I wish that I could say that I was impressed. The hotel staff is not that friendly and the pool is tiny and overcrowded with children. My room was very clean, the bed was super comfy, and I heard no noises from the outside while I was in my room. Jacques and Eugene were the nicest staff members. The hostesses on the rooftop were not friendly at all! Oh, the views were quite gorgeous and the location is ideal!
Stayed 4 nights, with only 1 issue day 3 both our room keys would not work. Louis at the front desk was amazing, super nice and very attentive to all our needs and fixed this problem very quickly. It is an older hotel and I did notice mildew spots in the bathroom corners and walls. Other than that, this hotel met all my expectations close proximity to subway, 20 min. Walk to time square, 5 min to central park and shopping centers. Oh and a Starbucks right next door.
This is a nice hotel located on west 63rd street. Servicing the upper West side of Manhattan. Valet parking is available. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Nice rooms. Pleasant staff. Close to stores and restaurants. Easy to see. Manhattan prices so bring your credit card. We will definitely be going back.
I loved it. We stayed because my husband was having surgery early the next morning. Obviously a stressful thing. Luis, the best guy ever, checked us in. He kept everything fun and upbeat and as he promised, we got a great room with an unbelievable gorgeous NY view. It was a huge breath of fresh air and calm. We asked for some recommendations which he was happy to give. Our night was as nice and stress free as possible. Totally recommend. Thanks Luis!!!
I have not stayed there, I was only in the rooftop bar. They served fantastic food and the service was very polite. There are four different seating areas that are really comfortable and the view is amazing. You can see the entire Lincoln Center, which is beautiful. A cool place to stop by after a show or a concert. They cold use some blankets for the cold nights, that might people there a bit longer.
This place has excellent. I had no idea it was owned by Lady Gaga's parents. We made reservations here while on a holiday road trip to the Poconos. I highly recommend the veal parm. It was to die for and some of the best I had. The service has a little to be desired...our drinks were empty half the time we were there.
On a trip to New York on our honeymoon we stopped of here as it was near our hotel and we are glad we did. The quaint we exterior invites you into an intimate setting which felt comfortable with enough space between you and the next table.
We had read reviews that the portion sizes were generous but after a full day of walking we were hungry so ordered starters. Both ordering meatballs from the polite and friendly staff, when they arrived they looked great and we tucked in accordingly. From the first bite it was clear that the food was authentic, fresh and delicious. By the time we had finished we realised that portion sizes were indeed generous to the point that we were both thinking that we would be struggling with our mains of lasagna and pizza. When the mains arrived it was clear that we were not going to be asking for the desert menu with the portions being exceedingly generous. Having had a single slice of pizza we made the tactical decision to split the lasagna and save the pizza for take out, which the restaurant kindly obliged. Despite having only shared a main we both left the restaurant, pizza box under arm stating it was the fullest we had ever been and doubted we would need to eat again for a long while. To sum up I could not have asked for more. High quality food with more than generous prices at a reasonable cost point. It's a shame I live in the UK or I would definitely be going back on a regular basis.
Great selection of produce, organic, bulk, and prepared foods. Decent selection of grocery staples. Prices are better than the local supermarket and depending on the item equal or slightly better than whole foods. The crowds can be madning but the lines generally move quickly. The newish Street front Cafe is great for coffee and baked goods grab and go.
Best grocery store on the upper east side for meats and produce. Huge selection of organic stuff, gluten free and whole grain options for normal snack foods...and all of the other stuff you'd expect from a normal grocery store. I have gotten amazing salmon steaks, deli meatballs, sausage, and M&M cookies here on a regular basis.
I would love to shop there. Everything look clean and fresh.BUT the check out lines were all the way to the.back of the store and wrapped around the.display.countets looked like the children in the seats of the shopping cart will.be out of.high school before.they reach the cashier's
If I could only choose one supermarket, it would be Fairway. You can get everything from cleaning supplies to fresh produce and delicious prepared foods if you don't want to cook. Also, their fish and meat departments are the best in town!
Good local market, has just about everything you could want, prices seem ok. The check out can be a little long so pick your time of day is best.
Takes a while to find some things as its spread over 2 floors. But its fine.
